Compared to some other touring cyclist I am just a novice. However, it was by finding sites like this that encouraged me to take up this sport and I may as well share my thoughts and criticisms of the various places I have been too.
2012 plans are to ride from Santander to Cadiz, then on to Tenerife.

If there ever has been a more self-indulgent site than this I would be surprised.
However, I am a keen open boat sailor with enthusiasm for the odd long-distance cycle tour. These events do take a long-time in planning and I may as well share these experiences with others to hopefully bring like-minded people together to be inspired, encouraged and think about ways to make the best used of our time on planet Earth.
Looking for a place to go sailing in a small boat or a cycle tour route? Then here are some suggestions..........
My silly page where I put bits of nonsense, trivia and other junk I have undoubtedly stolen from the Internet.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

A Summer of the same
During the summer of 2011. I embarked on a nine week sail at various places around the coast. It was a superb experience and hope to repeat something similar in 2012 but this time doing more on the bike.
I use this web site to-
1. Remind me of where I should be on certain days.
2. Fools, the sad and lonely, the bewildered, social rejects and potential crew members have a source of information of where to meet etc.
3. A news page for family, friends and my life insurance company who have asked to kept in touch with what I am up to this summer.

No! Not that kind of sailbike.
